Thanks Professor Messer

Education update

Passed and got my COMPTIA Network+ Certificate in the mail. I don’t know why they sent me another ID that has Network+ on it only. Would have been a lot better if they sent the card with an updated list of someone’s qualifications. Not that I’m going to be flashing the badge to anyone–

“Step aside, people, technician in the house. What seems to be the problem? Uhuh. Blue Screen you said? And before that where you having any network issues? Oh really. No DSL light huh. Tsk.”

I mean come on, please. LOL. Suddenly I have an image of someone with a Cisco CCIE Security come in with his bigger badder badge.

*flash badge*
“CCIE–we’ll take it from here. CCNP Jones here will escort you for debriefing. You are required to hand over anything relevant to this investigation. We expect your full cooperation.”

LOL.

It wasn’t easy studying for stuff you pretty much know about already.  It’s always during exams that you find out that you google terminology a LOT more than you’d care to admit.  Since Google isn’t exactly allowed during exams then I’ve had to put read a whole book–which is not really fun.  It feels redundant but you know you still need it.

Something that made my study a lot easier was watching FREE videos from Professor Messer. He offers free training videos for Network+ (and A+). Concise and informative–just what you need. It doesn’t substitute the details of a real book but helps remind you of “key” pointers to look out for during the exam. I wish I’d found out about him back when I was on my A+, it would’ve made studying much much LESS boring!

If you’re looking to take up COMPTIA A+ and Network+, I highly recommend . It’s free right–why not?

To the elitist snobs, talk to the hand. Read between the lines. Yeah, that’s right.
